02 · Your Janam Kundli
I entered the wrong birth details. How do I fix them?
You, Edit my Kundli. You can update date, time, and place of birth anytime. Your Ashtakoot scores re-compute against your existing and future matches automatically, no need to do anything else.
I don't know my exact birth time.
A rough hour is enough. We compute your chart with the time you give us and flag, on your profile, the parts that couldn't be read precisely. Your ascendant is the most sensitive, so it may show as approximate. You can update the time later if you find your records.
Can I show my name in Devanagari?
Yes. You, Edit profile, Name in Devanagari. It appears as a small subtitle next to your Latin name on your profile.
Why doesn't Naksh do horoscopes or daily predictions?
Naksh is a matrimonial app. The Kundli is computed for exactly one reason, matching you with a Vedic-compatible life partner. We don't do daily horoscopes, lucky numbers, or remedies; those are a different category of product, and bundling them into a matrimonial app makes both worse.
03 · Daily introductions
When do my five introductions arrive?
6:00 AM IST, every morning. The set is the same all day, and the people in it disappear from your inbox at midnight unless you have said yes.
I changed my filters mid-day, but today's set didn't change.
By design. Today's five are locked at 6:00 AM. Filter changes apply to tomorrow's set onward, the goal is that the set on your screen is the set you are deciding on, not one that shifts under you while you read.
I got fewer than five today. Why?
Two common reasons. Your filters may be narrow enough that fewer than five Vedic-compatible profiles match today; the app fills as many slots as it can. Or you may have recently paused, joined, or skipped a few days, in which case your queue takes a beat to catch up. Either way, tomorrow's set will refresh fresh.
Can I see more than five a day?
No. The five-per-day cap is part of the product. The point of the cap is that you read each profile properly. Receiving fifty would defeat the design.
04 · Profile & photos
How many photos can I upload? What are the rules?
Up to six. Real photos of you, not your friends, not your dog, not a meme. At least one clear photo of your face, taken in the last year. No nudity, no children, no celebrities. Group photos are fine if you are clearly the person on the profile.
What is the verification badge?
Verification is offered to every user and is optional. If you complete photo verification (a live selfie matched to your photos) and government-ID verification, your profile shows a small badge visible to every match. We delete the ID image within 48 hours, we keep the verification result only.
I'd rather not upload my ID.
That is fine. ID verification is optional in v1. Your profile is visible without it, just without the verification badge.
Why aren't my photos visible to my new match?
By design. Detailed photos of a person are revealed only after the other side has read the chart and the rest of the profile. Once both of you have completed that read, your photos unlock together. Naksh's tagline is compatibility, before photos.
05 · Matches & chat
When do I see the other person's photos?
Once you have read their full profile, including the Ashtakoot breakdown, and they have read yours. After both reviews are complete, photos unlock for both of you at the same moment.
I matched, but I want to unmatch.
Open the chat, tap the menu (⋯), Unmatch. The other person disappears from your list and you from theirs, with no notification. You can also block if you don't want them to be able to find you again under any circumstances.
I think the person I'm chatting with is a scammer.
Common red flags: asking for money or gifts, pressing to move the conversation off-app immediately, refusing to do a quick video call, photos that look too polished. Report the profile (open it, ⋯,
Report) and write to
safety@trynaksh.com. Don't send money, ever, regardless of the story.
06 · Safety & reports
How do I report a profile?
From a profile or a chat, tap ⋯ and select Report. You can pick a reason (harassment, fake profile, fraud, nudity, hate speech, other), add detail, and optionally attach a screenshot. Every report goes to a human on our safety team and is reviewed within 24 hours.
What happens after I report someone?
A human reviewer looks at the report, the reported profile, and the chat history. We may warn, suspend, or permanently remove the profile depending on what we find. We will write back to you with the outcome unless you preferred to report anonymously.
When should I call the police?
If you are in immediate physical danger, or if someone is threatening you, blackmailing you, or attempting fraud, call your local police number (112 in India). We will assist with any account information needed in a legal investigation, but we are not a replacement for law enforcement.
07 · Data, pause & delete
How do I take a break without losing everything?
You, Settings, Pause my account. You disappear from daily intros and from search; your existing matches and chats stay where they are. Toggle it off whenever you want to come back, your profile and Kundli return as they were.
How do I export my data?
You, Settings, Download my data. You will receive a download link by email within a few hours. The export includes your Kundli inputs, your profile, your matches, your chats, and your account history. It does not include other users' content.
How do I delete my account?
Inside the app: You, Settings, Account, Delete. Two taps. Or, from the web: trynaksh.com/delete-account. Your profile is removed from intros immediately and your data is fully purged within 30 days. We keep a minimal anonymised record only where required by law, for example reports under active investigation.
Will my chats with old matches be deleted?
Yes. When you delete your account, your side of every chat is removed within 30 days. The messages you sent will show as sent by a deleted account on the other person's side until they too leave or the chat is purged.
